Webquests

Webquest.org is a good site to visit.
This web quest is for water bottle rockets. It looks like a good tool to help guide the students through the activity.http://geocities.com/Ramseytch/webquest.html
This web quest is for roller coasters. This web quest went off topic for a little while. It seamed to draw out far too long. I have done the activity at the end of it with insulation and marbles for a team building activity. http://www.scs.unr.edu/~bnowak/myquest/index.html

Good thing about web quests:
1. They allow the students to work at their own pace.
2. Students learn how to use the internet to do research.
3. They help direct the students through the web to find good resources to help them accomplish a task.
4. It gives the student a goal to accomplish.
5. It uses a tool that most students enjoy using.

Bad things about web quests:
1. Students who have difficulty reading directions will have a hard time.
2. They can sometimes limit students’ creativity.
3. Sometimes the teacher is not involved.
4. Sometimes links will no longer work or change without notice.
5. Can seem like busy work to students.
